The KZN Tuskers stunned the Lions at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Saturday to record their first win of the CSA T20 Challenge.

The Tuskers who are in a relegation battle along with the Paarl Rocks desperately needed a win in the rain-reduced match, and they did so in convincing style to secure their first win of the campaign.

The Lions were restricted to 90/5 in their innings of 15 overs at the Bullring, but were in heaps of trouble early with the entire top-four in Rassie van der Dussen, Reeza Hendricks, Temba Bavuma and Mitchell van Vuuren being dismissed for ducks to be reeling at 4/3 after 2.4 overs.

This was thanks to a brilliant spell of opening bowling by Keith Dudgeon who was once a Knights loan player, who dismissed all four players of the top-order.

He finished with a brilliant 4/5 in his allotted 3 overs.

The Proteas allrounder, Wiaan Mulder, finished with 36 not out, while the former Northern Cape Heat allrounder, Evan Jones, was unbeaten on 29 not out, as the limped to 90-runs.

In reply, the under-fire Tuskers scored 94/4 in 11.4 overs for the win with Cameron Delport scoring 39-runs.

The bonus point win moved the Tuskers off the bottom of the log with five points, while the Rocks moved into the wooden-spooners role.

In Saturday's other match, the game between the Titans and Western Province at SuperSport Park in Centurion ended in a tie according to the DLS method.

On Sunday the Dolphins will host the Rocks at Kingsmead, with this game in Durban starting at 10:00, while at 14:00, the log-leading Warriors will face the North West Dragons at St George's Park in Gqeberha.
