T20 squad for tri-nations series against Zimbabawe, New Zealand announced─── ILSE SMALBERGER 14:16 Thu, 26 Jun 2025

Proteas Men’s head coach Shukri Conrad has named a 14-player squad for the upcoming T20 International (T20I) tri-series against hosts Zimbabwe and New Zealand, set to take place in Harare from 14-26 July.
Rassie van der Dussen will captain the side, which features four maiden T20I call-ups.
They are Titans duo Corbin Bosch and Lhuan-dré Pretorius, North West Dragons batter Rubin Hermann and Warriors spinner Senuran Muthusamy. Shukri Conrad told OFM Sport that Hermann brings more versatility to the squad than his brother, Jordan, who has also been in good form recently.
Both Pretorius and Hermann were among the breakout stars of the 2025 edition of the Betway SA20 for the Paarl Royals. Pretorius finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 397 runs at a strike rate of more than 166, including a blistering 97 off 51 balls against Eastern Cape Sunrisers.
Batting at number three, Hermann recorded 333 runs at a strike rate of 128.08 and an equally impressive average of 41.43. Bosch, who is already capped in One-Day Internationals (ODI) and Tests, played a key role in MI Cape Town’s maiden SA20 title-winning campaign last season, taking 11 wickets in eight matches.
Meanwhile, Muthusamy is one of three frontline spinners in the squad, alongside World Sports Betting George Linde and DP World Lions Nqaba Peter. Conrad said it would be the start of South Africa’s preparations for next year’s T20 World Cup in February-March.
World Test Championship winners South Africa will also try out new players in the two-match red-ball series against Zimbabwe, starting Saturday.
