Following his outstanding display of big match temperament, he has secured entry into this week’s Celtic Classic at Celtic Manor in Newport, Wales.

Nienaber told OFM Sport that he wants to use the opportunities presented to him.

“I am really chuffed with the week and the opportunity.

“I was the third reserve on Monday, and just made it into the top-three and being able to travel.

“A week later I’m sitting here with a top-four finish and made it into the next event. So, that is really nice and I am hoping for more of the same this week.

“I know that’s how I can play, and that’s my game.

“I’ve just got to take the opportunities when I get them.”

The 2020 Celtic Classic will tee off on Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, Dean Burmester had to settle for a share of sixth at the English Championship, while over in the USA, Ruan Pretorius finished 4th overall and was the top amateur during the Georgia Open. All three attended Grey College in Bloemfontein.
