On Sunday, Burmester, finished in a share for fourth at the Canary Islands Championships in Tenerife on the European Tour. This following his win a week prior at the same course during the Tenerife Open.

Burmester says the first prize will be next week’s PGA Championship at the Ocean Course, Kiawah Island.

“If I get there I will be super excited.

“I’ve seen pictures and stuff of the golf course and it looks unbelievable.

“I’ve never been to South Carolina, so hopefully if the form continues it will be a fun week.”

Meanwhile, Sunday’s winner, Garrick Higgo, has climbed to 51st in the world.

Burmester is entered into this weeks’ British Masters at Belfry.
