Nienaber qualifies for US Open─── MORGAN PIEK 14:27 Tue, 25 May 2021
Wilco Nienaber - Sunshine Tour
The 21-year-old Wilco Nienaber from Bloemfontein has qualified to play in his first major.
Nienaber has earned exemption to tie it up during the 2021 US Open which will be played at the Torrey Pines South Course in San Diego, California.
The big-hitting Nienaber has qualified for the year’s third major by virtue of leading the Order of Merit on the Sunshine Tour.
This is largely thanks to his maiden professional win during the Dimension Data Pro-Am at Fancourt earlier in the month.
The 12,5-million-dollar US Open will be played from 17 to 20 June.
