Dean Burmester - Sunshine Tour

The former Bloemfontein professional, Dean Burmester, will be the first South African on the tee during round one of the PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday.

Burmester has been paired with the American duo of Kyle Mendoza and Chris Kirk for the opening round and they will tee off from the first at 14:22.

The exciting Garrick Higgo will be in action from 15:28 along with England's Richard Bland and the Australian, Matt Jones.

The 2010 Open champion, Louis Oosthuizen, will be in action from 20:47 along Daniel Berger of the USA and Ian Poulter from England.

Charl Schwartzel, who did not qualify for the major, was a late inclusion as the second reserve player following the withdrawal of the defending champion, Phil Mickelson, and Harris English. 

This was officially confirmed with the 2011 Masters champion, Schwartzel, being paired with Spain's Sergio Garcia and Matt Fitzpatrick of England. This group will get underway from the 10th at 21:09.

The other South African’s teeing it up on Thursday are - Oliver Bekker, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Branden Grace, Justin Harding, Shaun Norris, Erik van Rooyen and Daniel van Tonder.
