The excitement is growing ahead of the inaugural Sishen Open that tees off in at the Sishen Golf Club in Kathu. The new event on the Sunshine Tour is one they have put a lot emphasizes on as it is being played at a course the players on tour enjoy.
The course is ranked 13th in the country and with the quality of the courses is South Africa is a massive feat in its own right.
The Bloemfontein tomorrow professional, Alex Haindl, told OFM Sport that they enjoy the course in the Kalahari.
“It's great having the Sishen Classic as a new addition to our schedule and I hope for many years to come.
“Sishen Golf Club is one of the best venues in the country and always a treat to play. The Pro-Am was good fun today (Tuesday), and it's been really nice to see the extra little touches that the sponsors and golf club have put in to make this tournament unique.
“Here's to hopefully a good week.”
In Augusts last year Haindl won the Vodacom Origins of Golf at the Sishen Golf for the last of high five tour wins to date.
The inaugural Sishen Open tees off on Thursday morning.
