Police ask victims to identify stolen phones | News Article

Victims of cell phone theft are requested to go and identify their phones at the Park Road Police Station in Bloemfontein between 8am and 4pm daily.

This comes after police raided the apartment of a man and found 21 presumably stolen cell phones under his bed. The man could not provide proof of ownership and they were immediately confiscated.

Police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, says people need to bring their proof of ID and proof of ownership with them, or provide the serial number of their stolen phone.

Alternatively, if they are unable to make their way to the police station, they can call the Park Road Police Station at 051-507-6000 and ask to be transferred to the Exhibit Store.
