VIDEO: FS Police choir, band and dancers head to national police festival─── 16:39 Mon, 18 Sep 2017
The SAPS in the Free State held a farewell party for its choir, band and dancers who will be taking part in competitions at the annual Police, Music and Cultural Association’s (POLMUSCA) National Unity Festival, hosted in Pretoria this week.
The farewell celebrations took place at Bobbiespark in Bloemfontein today. Police Representative, Maselela Langa, says the FS SAPS Choir will be defending its title and trophy after taking top honours last year.
The categories the choir will be competing in are Traditional, Western and a third category where they can make their own musical choices as a group.
The Provincial Commissioner, Lebeoana Tsumane, marvelled at the choristers’ vocal abilities, calling them “inhumane” and “Godly”.
Tsumane emphasised the significance of police members staying motivated and applauded the discipline that police members have, which was evident in their performances.
