Slipper Day is a fun, annual fundraising event organised by Reach For A Dream. On this day, everyone from school children to corporate teams may wear their slippers and Slipper Day stickers to work or school – all in support of seriously ill children in desperate need of hope and encouragement.

Purchasing a R20 Slipper Day sticker not only grants you the right to wear slippers but also the opportunity to change lives. All funds raised go to Reach For A Dream to make dreams come true for children facing their toughest battles, giving them hope to believe that tomorrow is worth fighting for.

This year’s theme, “Step into My Slippers”, focuses on empathy, fun and stepping into the shoes (or rather slippers) of youngsters fighting life-threatening illnesses. By trading our shoes for slippers, we step into their world, demonstrating support and reminding them that they are not alone in their fight.

Reach For A Dream seeks to alleviate the strain that life-threatening illnesses place on sick children and their families by providing these dreamers with the opportunity to believe in their greatest wish. The foundation has been providing dreams to children all around the country for 36 years. These young children are under extreme pressure to deal with these medical issues and are in desperate need of encouragement.

In addition, Reach For A Dream offers the child a magical moment to regain their childhood that is being lost to an illness.

The vision is to grow the foundation to enable us to continue giving hope to children fighting critical illnesses. The foundation hosts several national projects throughout the year to engage with the brave dreamers and wonderful donors.
