Cape Town – Archbishop Desmond Tutu is expected to be released from hospital this week following an operation.
Tutu underwent an operation last week Wednesday to treat a persistent infection which he has been battling since 2015.
According to Tutu's wife, Leah, he had admitted himself to hospital two weeks prior to the surgery.
The family said they were grateful for the prayers and messages of love and support that they have received.
