Bloemfontein - Arrive Alive has warned motorist to be extra vigilant against an apparent new hijacking technique involving a naked woman.
This comes after the group tweeted an image of the woman attempting to distract a truck driver on the N17.
The woman can be seen on photos posing with her arms behind her head, in an apparent bid to distress motorists and get them to stop.
This while criminals lurk in the bushes nearby ready to pounce. The editor for Arrive Alive, Johan Jonck, says they are currently trying to get more information on the matter.
Jonck says criminals also use a young woman carrying a baby to lure motorists to the side of the road, while attackers hide out of sight, ready to pounce on unsuspecting motorists.
Crime statistics show 14 600 cases of car and truck hijackings were reported from 2015 to 2016.
