#Magashule requests names of all corrupt members─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 11:25 Tue, 13 Apr 2021
ANC Secretary-General, Ace Magashule, has asked all nine provincial secretaries to submit a list of all party members who have been charged with corruption or other serious crimes and those who are implicated in corrupt activities.
Magashule, in a letter addressed to all Provincial Secretaries, has asked that the lists be submitted by Thursday 15 April. The letter - making rounds on social media - has, however, been received with mixed reactions with many social media users showing support for the request, whilst others cite how he should set an example by stepping down.
Magashule is embroiled in a number of corruption cases involving the Free State, with the controversial R255 million worth asbestos deal being the latest to make news. Following his appearance before the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court in February, Magashule and his co-accused are expected to appear in the Free State High Court on August 11, facing fraud and corruption charges relating to the project.
His letter further states that provinces must provide details indicating how the affected ANC members included in the lists have been informed personally in writing.
