The 17-year-old Chanté Olivier from Bloemfontein completed her hat-trick of medals at the African Continental Championships taking place in Cairo, Egypt.
The teenage cycling sensation comfortably won the four-lap 56km junior women’s road race this morning to add to the two gold medals she won earlier in the week.
Olivier was followed across the finish line by the local cyclist, Hapepa Eilwa, while Nersine Houlili of Algeria took bronze to round off the podium.
Earlier in the week, Olivier and her teammates won the 13.5km Team Time-Trial in 25:01, while she clinched the Individual Time-Trial in 23:23.
