Kesa Moletsane of Bloemfontein was crowned the South African champion over the weekend when she won the national cross-country championships in Amanzimtoti.
Moletsane won the national title for senior women in 37:19.
She beat Kyla Jacobs over the 10km race by six seconds. Jacobs finished in a time of 37:25, while Jenet Mbhele of KwaZulu-Natal took third in 37:32.
Meanwhile, the men's 10km title was won by Mbuleli Mathanga of KwaZulu-Natal. Mathanga won in a time of exactly 31:00. Reghen Magwai finished second in 31:21 while Bonginkosi took the bronze in 31:26.
