The Proteas men's hockey will have their sights set on the semi-finals when they face Kenya on Wednesday evening in their second match of African Cup of Nations being played in Ghana.

South Africa will enter the match with a lot of confidence after thrashing Namibia 13-0 on Monday evening in their opening game.

Nic Spooner, who scored a brace of goals against Namibia, told OFM Sport that it won't be a walk in the park.

“From our side, it is important to just keep the momentum going forward and keep to the structures that are in place.

“I don't see it being a massive problem, but their quality is a lot higher than that of Namibia.

“It is going to be a tough game, like all of the games here at the African Cup.

“It is a different style of hockey to that a lot of the guys are used to, so it will be important to concentrate on our own game.”

Wednesday night’s game between South Africa and Kenya in Accra gets underway at 18:00.
