Pillar of Central Media Group retires | News Article
Central Media Group (CMG), parent company of OFM, Digital Platforms, and Mahareng Publishing, regrets to announce the retirement of one of its stalwarts, Chief Financial Officer, Marietjie Vermeulen.

She will vacate her role, as CFO, at the end of June 2020.

Marietjie has been a part of the Group's success story from very early on.  She started at the then Radio Oranje as Financial Manager in November 1996 and played a huge role in the growth and development of the station into Central South Africa’s premier commercial radio station. Over the years, OFM morphed into a larger multimedia company, Central Media Group governed by a subsidiary board. Marietjie joined the board as director and company secretary in October 2003.

Marietjie remembers the amazing journey with OFM and CMG over the past 23 years.

“I will be eternally grateful for how I have grown as a person, everything I have learnt and all the relationships I had with my colleagues. I will remember my years with CMG fondly. However, the time has come to start the next phase of my life and I’m looking forward to it immensely!”

Says Central Media Group CEO, Nick Efstathiou: “Marietjie has been a part of the OFM family for 23 years, which is more than anyone of us at the group! She has always fulfilled her duties and responsibilities in the company in exemplary fashion.  But she will not only be remembered for the wonderful way in which she did her job, but for who she was: a colleague, a business partner and a friend.”
