The 23-year-old player represented the Baby Boks at the 2014 World Rugby Junior World Championships in New Zealand, playing in eight games.

Davis was named as the vice-captain of the side for the tournament.

He left South Africa to play for the French Top14 giants, but has been playing for Bayonne in France for the past season.

Davis has also played in the Super Rugby in the past when he represented the Southern Kings before heading Europe.

Furthermore the Cheetahs concluded deals with the two flyhalves, Benhard Janse van Rensburg from the Sharks and Louis Fouché from the Kubota Spears in Japan.

Janse van Rensburg has been playing  for the Kings in the Guinness Pro14, and previously represented the North West University Pukke in the Varsity Cup. He has been on loan at the side in Port Elizabeth from the Sharks due to Curwin Bosch and Robert du Preez Jr. both on the books in Durban.

Fouché is no stranger to rugby lovers in South Africa. He was a regular for the Bulls in the Currie Cup and Super Rugby before heading to the Land of the Rising Sun.

Janse van Rensburg reported for training at the Cheetahs on Tuesday morning, while both Davis and Fouché will report at the Cheetahs on July the 1st.

Besides these players, the following players extended their contracts with the Toyota Cheetahs for the 2018/19 Pro14 season or beyond.

Dian Badenhorst, Jacques du Toit, Luan de Bruin, JP du Preez, Lloyd Greeff, Elandré Huggett, Malcolm Jaer, Nico Lee, Daniel Martens, Rabs Maxwane, Tian Meyer, Ali Mgijima, Junior Pokomela, Sibabalo Qoma, William Small-Smith,  Ernst Stapelberg, Boan Venter, Reinach Venter, Shaun Venter, Dennis Visser.

More senior players will be contracted in the coming weeks.
