At 18:30 the Central University of Technology Ixias tackle the champions, Maties, at CUT Park. At the same time, the in-form Tuks face Wits at the LC de Villiers in Pretoria.

The big game of the week is, of course, the intervarsity clash between the two bitter rivals, Shimlas and Pukke.

The Pukke coach, Jonathan Mokuena, tells OFM Sport that he expects nothing less than a full 80 minutes of action.

“The history speaks for itself. It's two proud universities that have the base and the culture of playing good rugby.

“I think that Monday night it will be no different. Both teams will have a go at it and have a go at it for the full eighty.

“The team that is going to be the most clinical with regards to set phases and opportunities that they’ve created is probably going to be the team which will be successful.

“Hendro (Scholtz) and myself played alongside each other and we also played against each other, so it’s two tough coaches as well. So I think that from a coaching perspective we will enjoy this one as well.

“We will probably have a drink after the game, but we are really looking forward to the challenge.”

Kick-off at Shimla Park in Bloemfontein is at 19:00.
