At 18:30 the University of the Free State Shimlas are at home to the UCT Ikeys, and the coach of the men from Bloemfontein, Hendro Scholtz, tells OFM Sport that patience with the ball will be key.

“There were certain things that we did pretty well, but obviously we didn’t convert our chances against the Pukke.

“Patience with the ball in hand is the key, and maybe we got a bit over-excited at times and we weren’t patient.

“We’ve worked on that for this week.

“The Ikeys will be quite a big challenge for us. They have quite a big forwards pack, and the physical stuff will test us on Monday.

“If we can match that and handle the physical stuff we will definitely be in with a chance.

In Bellville, UWC will target their first win when they are up against the in-form University of Pretoria Tuks.

At 19:00 it is a repeat of last years’ final when Maties tackle the North West University Pukke in Stellenbosch.
