Joseph Dweba - Morgan Piek

Charles Marais will start at loosehead prop tomorrow on Saturday night when the Toyota Cheetahs face the Glasgow Warriors in the Guinness Pro14.

Marais starts in the place of the suspended Ox Nche. Marnus van der Merwe will start at hooker, while Joseph Dweba will provide cover from the bench.

In the second-row Walt Steenkamp and Sintu Manjezi form the starting lock combination, while Henco Venter, will start in the number eight jersey, with Gerhard Olivier on the bench. Olivier was not named in the original touring squad, however, the in-form Junior Pokomela is nursing a back injury. This also sees Daniel Maartens starting at flank.

The only change to the backline sees Malcolm Jaer starting at fullback.

On the bench Reinach Venter will provide cover at both hooker and prop, while Luan de Bruin, who is a specialist tighthead can play at loosehead if the need arises.

Justin Basson makes his return as cover in the second-row after serving a suspension.

The captain, Tian Meyer, told OFM Sport that there is a sense of excitement in their camp.

“I’m sure that they will be quite confident. For them it is a home game as well, so they will take it quite seriously.

“It is definitely going to be a tough task out there.

“The excitement around our squad is very good at the moment. We are demanding a better quality at training and better quality in the matches, and we can see that.

“We haven’t got the results in the last three games, but we’ve really been putting out good performances, and it at the moment it is just the small things that make the difference.”

Tomorrow night’s match at the Scotstoun Stadium kicks off at 21:45.
