More heartbreak for the Cheetahs overseas | News Article
William Small-Smith - Inpho

The Glasgow Warriors retained their unbeaten run over the Toyota Cheetahs in the Guinness Pro14 with a 35-17 bonus point win at the Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow on Saturday night.

For the Cheetahs it was their fourth straight defeat in the competition, will all of these loses coming in away games abroad.

Callum Gibbins, Kyle Steyn, Rory Hughes, Stafford McDowall all crossed the whitewash for the Conference A leaders, while William Small-Smith and Joseph Dweba scored for the Cheetahs.

Small-Smith managed to score with a minute left to play to complete his brace for the Cheetahs.

Both Pete Horne and Adam Hastings retained a 100% kicking record on the evening with both slotting all the conversions on offer. Both Tian Schoeman and Louis Fouché missed a shot on goal for the Cheetahs.

The Cheetahs return back to Bloemfontein where they will enjoy a week away from the game, and the biggest news from the camp will be that Toyota will be announcing a three-year extension of the teams’ sponsorship.

This announcement is set to take place on Thursday morning in Johannesburg.

The Cheetahs next game will be on 6 April when they host the Ospreys from Wales in Bloemfontein.
