The Toyota Free State XV winger, Jamba Ulengo, is the leading try-scorer in the SuperSport Rugby Challenge after four rounds.

The former Springbok scored during the 64-17 win over the SWD Eagles on Saturday to take his tally up to six tries.

Marquit September of SWD, Edwill van der Merwe of Western Province, and Jo-Hanko de Villiers of the Golden Lions are all on 5 tries.

The Free State coach, Izak van der Westhuizen, told OFM Sport that while they are playing exciting rugby, they just need to be a little more patient.

“That is something that we are trying to achieve, we love playing with the ball in hand.

“There are one or two little things that we need to address.

“One of those things will be to keep the ball for an extra phase or two. I think that sometimes we try and score too early.

“If we can just clean and tidy things up a bit, we will play even better attacking rugby.”

Meanwhile, the Free State XV, flyhalf is among the leading scorers in the competition and is currently third in the standings with 44 points. He has also scored the second most conversions in the competition with by sending the ball through the uprights on 17 occasions.

Free State face the Zimbabwe Academy on Saturday afternoon at the False Bay Rugby Club in Cape Town.
