Brits to lead Boks against Namibia─── MORGAN PIEK 08:20 Wed, 25 Sep 2019
The Springboks have rung the changes for Saturday’s Rugby World Cup clash against neighbours, Namibia, in the City of Toyota.
The veteran, Schalk Brits, will lead the Springboks onto the park, however, he will be playing at the back of the scrum instead of his usual position of hooker in the frontrow.
Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo Am are the only two players remaining from the starting XV which lost 23-13 to the All Blacks in Yokokama last week. Six of the starters from a week prior will, however, play off the bench.
Saturday’s Test match between South Africa and Namibia will only be the second between the two countries in a Rugby World Cup Tournament. The previous time was during the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand when the Boks hammered the “Biltongboere” 87-0.
