The confident Toyota Cheetahs will target their third straight win in the Guinness PRO14 on Friday night when they tackle Munster from Ireland.

The team from Limerick remains the only team in the PRO14 which has not lost a game to the Cheetahs.

In their four previous meeting’s Johann van Graan’s chargers have had the upper hand, but there is a sense that this time around the Cheetahs can pull it through.

The Cheetahs club captain, Tian Meyer, told OFM Sport that it all about converting the confidence into a good performance.

“It is a team that we haven’t beaten, so we see it as a challenge,” said the scrumhalf.

“There is confidence in the team, but it is how you convert that confidence and momentum that you have built through the last couple of months.

“We have put out challenges out there. We want to keep approving and adapting each week. We want to keep on pushing each other in the squad and really keep challenging each other.

“We cannot focus on what people or the press has to say about the competition. We’ve got to perform and put the best possible product out there.

“Our aim is to win on Friday evening and we know that it is going to be a challenge.”

At this stage, there aren’t expected to be too many changes to the team which beat both Glasgow and Ulster. There is still some doubt over the centre, Dries Swanepoel, who sustained a clag niggle during the 63-26 win over Ulster.

This could pave the way for William Small-Smith to move to centre, while Rabz Maxwane or Craig Barry could earn a first appearance this season.

Franco Smith may, however, opt to rotate a player or two in what will be his swansong as the Cheetahs coach.

Friday’s evenings' match at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein kicks off at 18:15.

Possible starting XV – 15 Rhyno Smith, 14 Rabz Maxwane / Craig Barry, 13 Benhard Janse van Rensburg, 12 William Small-Smith, 11 Anthony Volmink, 10 Tian Schoeman, 9 Ruan Pienaar (captain), 8 Henco Venter, 7 Junior Pokomela, 6 Gerhard Olivier, 5 Walt Steenkamp, 4 Sintu Manjezi, 3 Erich de Jager, 2 Joseph Dweba, 1 Ox Nche.
