Specman on the brink of Cheetahs return─── MORGAN PIEK 11:59 Mon, 08 Jun 2020
The Springbok Sevens star, Rosko Specman, has been linked with a return to the Toyota Cheetahs. In 2017 Specman represented the Cheetahs in the Currie Cup, and also played in their inaugural season in the Guinness PRO14.
Following a successful stint in Bloemfontein the fleet-footed speedster headed to Pretoria where he played for the Bulls in the Super Rugby.
It would appear that the 31-year-old flyer is not in the plans of Jake White at the Bulls and thus will return to the Cheetahs.
Specman told OFM Sport that he would comment once he has received and signed a contract at the Cheetahs.
OFM Sport does however have it on good authority that Specman has committed at the Cheetahs after turning down an offer from the Lions.
It is believed that Specman will still be available to represent the Blitzboks on the HSBC Sevens World Series.
Specman has played in seven Currie Cup games for the Free State Cheetahs and scored two tries. To date, he represented the Cheetahs in four PRO14 matches and scored one try.
