The 18-year-old flyhalf, Chadley Josias, is the latest player to be contracted by the Toyota Cheetahs. he player who is currently residing in George represented the SWD Eagles at age-group level.

He is no stranger to Bloemfontein after representing SWD during the 2019 Craven Week which was hosted at Grey College in the City of Roses.

Furthermore, he plied his trade as two of the best rugby schools in South Africa, namely Glenwood in Durban and Outeniqua in George.

Speaking to OFM Sport, Josias, said he cannot wait to link up with the Cheetahs.

“I am really looking forward and I am really excited to head up to Bloemfontein. I cannot wait for next year.

“The names of Frans Steyn, Ruan Pienaar, Rosko Specman and the others, being there and being in the same environment as them makes me excited.

“I was very much in my comfort zone down here. I have to get out of my comfort zone, it often makes me perform better than when I am close to home, close to family and all of that.

“I know that it’s definitely going to be a challenge, but that’s what I like. Life is all about challenges I guess.”

Following the recent signings of George Cronjé, Marcell Muller, Lesley Botha and Juan-Dee Oliver, Josias, becomes the newest member of the “next generation” at the Bloemfontein-based team.
