Dweba becomes the third player and second hooker that played for the Cheetahs to make the list of the 15 best players in the competition.

In 2017/18, Torsten van Jaarsveld, cracked the nod, while last year the winger, Rabz Maxwane, made the elite team.

Speaking to OFM Sport from France, Dweba, said he would have liked to finish the season in Bloemfontein.

“As you know the situation was very different with the Coronavirus. I would have wished to finish off everything there at the Cheetahs, and just push it as far as we could get.

“Things had to happen in this way, and I am still thankful for the opportunities that I go there at the Free State.

“I'm also thankful for being in the dream team. I couldn't believe it.”

Dweba now plays for Bordeaux-Begles in the French Top14.
