We definitely have the ability to beat them - Lindsay─── MORGAN PIEK 09:17 Fri, 13 Nov 2020
The Tafel Lager Griquas are optimistic about their chances in this evening’s Super Rugby Unlocked game against the Sharks in Kimberley.
The Griquas are yet to record a victory this season, while the Sharks have started gaining some momentum in the tournament.
The Peacock Blues have a habit of upsetting big teams in the Diamond City, and the Sharks in particular have struggled against them.
New Griquas lock, Cameron Lindsay, told OFM Sport that they have the potential to be the Sharks.
“We know our season hasn't gone according to plan so far, but we are going to put up a big fight against the Sharks on Friday.
“The most important thing is to go out there, show a massive fight, never give up and just keep going.
“We definitely have the ability to beat them and I am just looking forward to contributing to the Griquas and making sure the team does well.
“They always struggle to play in Kimberley, but if we stick to our systems and fight hard, then I think we are in for a good chance.”
Lindsay, who schooled in KwaZulu-Natal, recently joined the Griquas from their old rivals, the Pumas and earns his first start for the Northern Cape team on Friday.
This evenings’ game at Tafel Lager Park kicks off at 19:00.
