Sharks target a strong Currie Cup start─── MORGAN PIEK 14:00 Wed, 25 Nov 2020
The Sharks will be targeting a strong start against the Pumas on Friday evening in the opening match of the Carling Currie Cup.
While Covid-19 has wreaked havoc in the Sharks game over the past week the game is still on at this point in time.
Springbok and Sharks flyhalf, Curwin Bosch, says they cannot afford to give to Pumas a sniff.
“We are performance-driven and the reason for that is so that we have something to measure.
“Sometimes you can play bad games and get the result, but we know if we perform well the results will definitely come our way.
“It’s really important that we stick to the structures that we put in place and that we stick to the performances that we want to put out there.
“If we do that, the results will take care of itself.
“I’m pretty sure if we do perform well every single week that we’ll beat any team we play against.”
This match at Kings Park kicks off at 19:00. On Saturday at 16:30 the Griquas tackle the Golden Lions, and the 19:00, Western Province host the Blue Bulls.
