Arnoldi, Hugo set to return next week─── MORGAN PIEK 09:59 Tue, 01 Dec 2020
The Toyota Free State Cheetahs duo of Wilmar Arnoldi and Reniel Hugo will most likely be ready to play again next weekend.
Arnoldi has recovered from a fractured cheekbone and Hugo has recovered from a knee injury. The pair started training with the Cheetahs again yesterday.
There are several injuries in the camp, including the stand-in captain, Junior Pokomela, who has to undergo surgery on his wrist.
The Cheetahs coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that Arnoldi and Hugo won’t be available to face the Blue Bulls.
“There are a few injured guys that will be returning soon. Wilmar Arnoldi and Reniel Hugo started training with us again today (Monday). This is good news for the tight five.
“Charles Marais is still out and we are not sure about Aidon Davis. Junior Pokomela will have surgery so he will still be out for quite a while.
“Ruan Pienaar is still three to four weeks away from a return. Wilmar and Reniel will be available for selection when we play against the Lions.
“We will have to phase them back and get them ready to play before we can select them.”
The Bulls host the Cheetahs at 16:30 on Saturday at Loftus Versfeld.
