Cheetahs focus on their own game─── MORGAN PIEK 07:08 Wed, 02 Dec 2020
The defending Currie Cup champions, the Toyota Free State Cheetahs, are looking to control the controllable when they tackle the Blue Bulls on Saturday in Pretoria.
The Cheetahs had a first-round bye, while a 14-man Bulls unit impressed with a 22-20 win over Western Province in Cape Town.
While the Cheetahs are the underdogs for the encounter, the team is up for the challenge that awaits them.
The Cheetahs utility back, William Small-Smith, told OFM Sport that they just want to focus on their own game.
“Now it's six games in a row, followed by a semi-final and a final.
“We as a team just want to focus on what we do well and play our brand of rugby.
“The Bulls are a quality team that has done really well so far, but we are not too focused on them at the moment.
“We just want to go onto the field and play the brand that we and the fans both enjoy and give it our all.
“We are very excited ahead of the challenge this week.”
Saturday’s game at Loftus Versfeld kicks off at 16:30.
