Both the Griquas and the Pumas will have their tails up following wins last week. The Peacock Blues hammered the EP Elephants 43-0, while the Pumas stunned the Toyota Cheetahs with 22-15 victory.

For the men from the Diamond City, it was their first win in nearly two years.

Furthermore, both teams contain several players that played for their other team at one point in time, such as Cameron Lindsay and AJ le Roux.

Griquas coach, Scott Mathie, told OFM Sport that the battle against their old foe will be exciting.

“A game between the Griquas and the Pumas is always tightly contested affair and with both teams coming off a win, so I think that there is a good deal of confidence in through both sides.

“It is bound to be a very good game.

“The camp is upbeat and it will be a really good opportunity on Saturday to take another step towards our Currie Cup preparations.”

Saturday’s game at Tafel Lager Park kicks off at 15:00.
