The former Cheetahs captain has signed a two-year contract at the Cheetahs after having plied his trade at Montpellier and Castres for the best part of a decade.

Ebersohn is currently still in France and busy planning the trip back home.

Ebersohn told OFM Sport that he is excited to rejoin the Cheetahs.

“I'm very grateful and thankful to Hawies Fourie for his confidence and belief in me.

“It's been a long eight years in France and I feel that it's a good time to return home.

“I'm excited to be going back to Bloemfontein and to play rugby at the Cheetahs.

“I feel good and that I am in good form. I've played a lot of games this season and I'm just excited to get back.

“At the moment I'm busy planning our move. There is a lot of things to sort out in order to get everything running on that side.

“I am excited to be playing and joining the club again.”

Ebersohn’s contract at the Cheetahs will begin on 1 August and it will run until 31 July 2023.
