The Peacock Blues will be making use of the their newly contracted hooker, Janco Uys, after the 21-year-old reported for duty from the Bulls.

Last week the Griquas tackle the Griffons in a warm-up match which they won comfortably.

The Griquas centre, Blackie Swarts, told OFM Sport that the process is more important than the result.

“It's not about the results, but it's more about the process, to see where we are at, to rectify it, and to work on the things that we did wrong in the previous season.

“To get some self-belief in the team, I think last week’s game was a great start and hopefully we can get some momentum in the Leopards game.”

Unlike last week's warm-up match which was played over three 30-minute chukkas, this week it will be a full 80-minute contest, with rolling substitutions throughout the encounter.

Friday’s match in Vryburg kicks off at 15:00.
