The Springboks will be playing in their first international since November 2019 next week when they host Georgia in Johannesburg.

Marx is the player most likely to get a start, while the coaches have the luxury of being about to choose from Joseph Dweba, Bongi Mbonambi and Scarra Ntubeni as well.

Marx says they all bring out the best of one another.

“In my opinion I think it’s pretty healthy will all of use keeping each other on our toes and making sure that we are preforming as best we can week in, week out.

“Making sure that we are on top of our game and knowing that there are guys ahead of you and that maybe behind you that are pushing to make you and themselves a better player.

“That is all we can ask for.

“It’s healthy making sure that we are on top of the game all the time.”

Next week Friday's first Test against Georgia at Ellis Park kicks off at 19:00.
