The Peacock Blues themselves have three debutants for the game in the form of the centre Jay Cee Nel, the tighthead prop Janu Botha, and the loose-forward, Henco Beukes.

The scrumhalf, Stefan Ungerer, will once again take charge of the team with Stoney Steenkamp out of action.

The Griquas coach, Scott Mathie, told OFM Sport that the Cheetahs still have a lot of experience in their team.

“I think the Cheetahs will want us to believe that they are very unsettled and stuff, but look, there is a lot of experience in that team.

“Let's not move away from that. There's Ruan Pienaar, Jacques Potgieter and Clayton Blommetjies.

“They've got a side there with enough experience. There's also a guy like Victor Sekekete, who was with us.

“I'm not reading too much into this. I think that they've got a highly competitive side.”
