The fifth placed Griquas traveled to the Mother City on the back of their narrow 26-22 defeat to the Pumas in Nelspruit.

Province their turn will target an improved performance after their managed to edge the Sharks 32-31 last week.

The captain of the Peacock Blues, Ruan Steenkamp, told OFM Sport that with enough ball they can give themselves as chance.

“We had our captains run and the field is a lot softer than in Kimberley, so there won't be any grass burns.

“We are excited for the game against Western Province. Against the Pumas things didn't really go our way and there are things that we had to focus on.

“It's a short turn around, but if we can get our setpiece straight and get attacking ball we will have a bit more ball in hand.

“Province will be a tough game but the boys are ready.

“I believe that if we can keep the ball in hand again generate more attacking play, things can go our way.”
