Kolisi emphasises the importance of Steyn─── MORGAN PIEK 15:25 Fri, 06 Aug 2021
The Springboks will play in their biggest match since the 2019 Rugby World Cup final when they tackle the British & Irish Lions on Saturday night in the 3rd and final Test.
The Boks have been tipped as the favourites to win the Test and clinch the series, but it will come down to controlling the controlling the controllable and maintaining their discipline.
The Springboks do also take the momentum into the Test following last week’s outstanding 27-9 win to level the series.
The Boks captain, Siya Kolisi, said that the veteran flyhalf, Morné Steyn, will have a big role to play tomorrow.
"Morne’s energy and his love for the game is infectious, and he’s still hungry as ever.
"He’s been sharing a lot of knowledge with the guys, and helping prepare the team, and now he gets his opportunity to play.
"I think his calming influence and cool head is something we need.
"You can’t buy experience, and I think his wisdom will be of huge value."
Saturday’s Test at the Cape Town Stadium kicks off at 18:00.
