100th coming up for Francke─── MORGAN PIEK 07:11 Fri, 03 Sep 2021

The Tafel Lager Griquas centre, Jonathan Francke, is excited about making this 100th appearance for the team on Saturday afternoon when they face the Sharks in the semi-final of the Currie Cup.
The 35-year-old Francke has been named in the Griquas starting XV for the clash in Durban.
The coach Scott Mathie has named a largely unchanged team for the match, but welcomes back the Cheetahs-bound winger, Daniel Kasende, at the expense of James Verity-Amm.
Francke told OFM Sport that he has a simple approach to his rugby.
“In my changeroom cubicle I have the motto 'Never back down, play every game as if it's your last game and stay positive'.
“To get an opportunity to play in the semi-finals at a small union, as well as running out for my 100th game, really is a milestone.
“It is something that I will cherish for a lifetime.”
Before joining the Peacock Blues, the Strand-born Francke represented the Boland Cavaliers in 55 matches.
