André Tredoux will be making a welcome return to Bloemfontein where is will take over the role of head coach for the University of the Free State Shimlas.

Tredoux, who previously coached at the Shimlas takes over the reins from the former Free State captain, Pote Human, who has joined the Houston SaberCats in the USA. Human will work alongside the former Springbok coach, Heyneke Meyer, in Houston.

He will be assisted by the former Springbok and Stormers hooker, Tiaan Liebenbeg, who has moved across the city from the Central University of Technology Ixias, where he was as assistant to Pieter Bergh.

In addition, the former head coach, Hendro Scholtz, will also assistant Tredoux, along with Mark Nicholls and Rashied Isaacs.
