It’s a been a tough baptism of fire for the Bulls following heavy defeats to the two Irish teams, Leinster and Connacht, during the first two rounds.

On Saturday the Bulls will be up against the Cardiff Blues and they will target this game for a first win in the competition.

After two round the Bulls are stone last on the table while Cardiff are in 9th following a win and a defeat.

The Bulls scrumhalf, Zak Burger, said that it is still far from panic stations and there is still a long season.

“It has been a new experience for a number of the guys.

“We have obviously been disappointed with the results. We also know that as sportsmen, we cannot win every game.”

“The vibe and camaraderie are still great among the group. We continue to work hard both on and off the field,” Burger said.

“We know it’s a huge adaptation now in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, with all the games we are now playing away from home.

“After the opening two games, we have identified a few areas we can work on improving. All in all, we remain positive in the camp.

“The season is still long, and definitely cannot be decided on the first two matches. There is still a lot to play for.”

This game at Cardiff Arms Park kicks off at 20:35 on Saturday evening.
