The Soweto derby is the second biggest in Africa behind the Cairo derby between Al Ahly and Zamalek.

The two rivals enter tomorrow's game at Soccer City with the Buccaneers in 6th and the Glamour Boys in 7th on the log.

Baxter warns that the derby can lose its prestige and appeal.

“The derby can manage this sort of situation for a while, but not forever.

“Because then, people will say that it is not thee derby.

“Actually, Pirates against Sundowns, or Chiefs against Sundowns is the big one, even though traditionally it is not.

“It’s a really question and I think that it is one that we have to take to heart and that we have to address.

“The only way that we can address it is by getting better.”

Saturday's Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 15:30.
