The Springbok, Oupa Mohoje, will lead the team comprising of mainly fringe players onto the park.

Brandon Thomson will start at flyhalf for the game, while Siya Masuku has been named on the bench.

The coach Hawies Fourie has opted to go with his more seasoned campaigners on the bench, especially with the team having to face the Sharks on Saturday.

All indications are that the Sharks will field their United Rugby Championship team on Saturday.

Fourie told OFM Sport that match is an opportunity for the fringe players.

“We decided before the Toyota Challenge started that we will give the whole squad a run.

“We selected this team more than a week ago and the guys knew then already that they will play against Barcelona.

“After Wednesday's game we will make a decision on the teams for the Sharks and Baia Mare matches.

“For me it just worthwhile to give all of the players some game time and get them match fit before the Currie Cup.”
