Brandt out for the Baia Mare match─── MORGAN PIEK 14:17 Mon, 22 Nov 2021

The Toyota Cheetahs will have to make do without the services of the winger, Enver Brandt, for Friday’s Toyota Challenge clash against Baia Mare in Bloemfontein.
Brandt, who is on trial at the Cheetahs, will be hoping that he has done enough to earn a contract at the team.
Over the weekend the former Griquas flyer impressed yet again, but this time with a brace of tries during the 40-34 win over the Sharks.
The Cheetahs are also sweating over the fitness of the winger, Daniel Kasende, who sustained a knee injury in the game.
As it stands, the Cheetahs are battling with injuries to their outside backs with Rosko Specman and Clayton Blommetjies both out until next year.
The Cheetahs' coach, Hawies Fourie, told OFM Sport that Brandt is out for this week, while they won’t take chances with Kasende.
“Enver has got a hamstring injury and he will definitely not be in contention for Friday's game against Baia Mare.
“Daniel, I'm not sure about. He got a hard knock against his knee when I felt that he got unfairly penalised with that tackle of Anthony Volmink. He slipped and fell and hit Daniel on the knee.
“He is feeling alright. After the game, I spoke to him in the change room and he doesn't have a lot of pain. Normally with a knee injury you've got to give it a day or two and see what is happening.
“We are holding thumbs that he is ready to play because our back-three is depleted. It will be great if he is ready for Friday, but I won't take chances with him.
“I'll rather give him time to recover and get him ready for the Currie Cup, because he will be an important player for us.”
Friday evening’s game against Baia Mare kicks off at 17:30.
