PSDT links up with Verblitz in Japan─── MORGAN PIEK 08:35 Tue, 14 Dec 2021
The Springbok flanker, Pieter-Steph du Toit, has started training with his new club, Toyota Verblitz, in Japan.
The World Cup winner and former World Player of the Year joined the Japanese Top League team from the Stormers.
The news is good for the Springboks as the star player has been out of action with a shoulder injury since the 21st minute of the 2nd Test against the British & Irish Lions at the end of July.
The influential and hard-working player said he is excited about his new journey.
"I'm very excited to be here with the guys. I enjoyed a full training session and I can't wait for the season ahead. I'm very excited.
Du Toit was set to be linked up with Munster in Ireland, but this move was rejected by the Irish Rugby Football Union.
Du Toit will link up with fellow Springbok, Willie le Roux, in Aichi.
