The Griquas lost 30-20 to the Toyota Cheetahs last week while the Sharks in their turn had a first-round bye.

The new-look and youthful Peacock Blues enjoyed a good second half in Bloemfontein last week and they also have an outstanding record at Kings’ Park.

Griquas coach, Pieter Bergh, told OFM Sport they believe they can do the job again.

“Even when I was previously the assistant here at the Griquas we won a lot in Durban.

“Last year they won there in the round-robin stage and they narrowly lost in the semi-final.

“Physiologically it does give the guys the belief as they have won and played well there in the past.

“Having said that, it is important that we have to be better than what we were against the Cheetahs.

“We did improve in the second half but we will have to be a lot better if we want to win on Wednesday evening.”

Wednesday’s game between the Sharks and Griquas at the Shark Tank kicks off at 17:45.
