Sharks confirm signing of Etzebeth─── MORGAN PIEK 12:49 Thu, 17 Feb 2022
The Sharks have confirmed the signing of the Springbok lock, Eben Etzebeth. The World Cup winner will be joining the Sharks at the end of the current season once he has completed his commitments at the French Top14 side, Toulon.
Earlier in the week, the French giants granted the enforcer an early exit from his contract.
Etzebeth, who previously played all his domestic rugby for the Stormers, was contracted to Toulon until the end of the 2023 season.
On Sunday, Etzebeth made a long-awaited return to the field for Toulon following a three-month break from the game due to the third concussion in a calendar year.
Current Springboks who joined the Sharks from the Stormers in the past year are the Siya Kolisi and Bongi Mbonambi.
