The defending Currie Cup First Division champions, the Leopards will get their campaign underway on Saturday when they face the Border Bulldogs in East London.
Last week the Leopards had a bye during the opening round, while the Bulldogs in turn were thumped 106-7 by the Griffons in Welkom
This game kicks off at 15:00.
At the same time the Griffons will tackle the Zimbabwe Goshawks at home.
The Griffons coach, Jacques Juries, told OFM Sport that they want to build on their good start.
“The Zimbabwe Goshawks will give us a different challenge this weekend,” said Juries.
“We've seen a bit of what they can do and we will be ready.
“Hopefully we can pull another one through this weekend.
“It's important to build momentum from the start of the season so that the players also get the confidence to take on any challenge that comes our way.”
Meanwhile, on Friday night at 19:00, the SWD Eagles tackle the Boland Cavaliers in George and on Saturday at 15:00 the Valke face the Simbas from Kenya in Brakpan.
