The Shimlas are already in the semi-finals but five-points will ensure a home playoff and possible home final.

The flyhalf, George Lourens, will lead the Shimlas this evening, with the squad being rotated somewhat.

Lourens told OFM Sport that he looks forward to the leadership challenge.

“It is a massive privilege and honour to be captain of the Shimlas this week, said the in-form backline marshal.

“Our usual captain, Thabang Mahlasi, has played a lot of minutes so he has been given the bench duties this week. But he is still here and still helps with the leadership and this makes my job a lot easier.

“We've got a few new faces for the game against the Madibaz. They are guys that have been working really hard throughout the season and haven't had the opportunity to play.

“They are hungry to play and I am sure that they will bring it on Monday night.”

This game at the Madibaz Stadium kicks off at 19:00. At the same time the NWU Eagles tackle Wits and the Ikeys host the Ixias at the Green Mile.
